Railway Projects :

Mr.H.D.Devegowda's contribution to Bangalore Railway Division .

Karanataka's fight to get its own railway division in Bangalore was happening from a decade . It was Mr.H.D.Devegowda after becoming prime minister of Indian who made this dream come true for Kannadigas. Its not all the division started functioning in Bangalore and a mammoth 12 crore was spent on the program . Now after the supreme court order it has been shifted to Hubli but the credit of getting karnataka's own railway division should go to Mr.H.D.Devegowda.

Bangalore to Hassan railway project was introduced by Mr.H.D.Devegowda , the project cost is 295 crore, 166 km long but the govt which came after the project was initiated have not made any progress on the project. Bangalore-kanakapura-sathyamangla project at a cost of 225 crore and 200 km long which will connect Tamilnadu at the shortest distance ,even this is Mr.H.D.Devegowda's dream.

Other Important Railway Projects :-

Bangalore to Kengeri (Double lane routes)	12.5 km	20.6 crores work has been completed
Whitefield -Bangarpete- kuppam(Double lane routes)	81.21km	105 crores part of the work has been completed and remaining will be done in next one year if the present govt releases funds in time
Kengeri to Ramanagara(Double lane routes)	32.43KM	43 crore work in progress
Yeshwanthpur to Tumkur(Double lane routes)	63.95 Km	61.57 crores work in progress
Bangalore -whitefield , Bangalore - Krishnarajpuram (Double lane routes)	23.08 Km	13.76 km at a total cost of 63.61 crores tender has been and work will be in progress.
